What to put in your email
We do not need a formal RFP at first contact. A short note is enough. The four pieces of information that help us respond usefully on the first reply:
- The matter type. Patent, commercial breach, employment, fraud, antitrust, regulatory, IP licensing, appellate, etc.
- The approximate document volume. Hundreds, thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands. We work across all volumes; the answer affects which tier we recommend.
- Deadlines, if any. Court dates, deposition dates, expert-report deadlines, mediation dates, appellate briefing schedules. We do not take matters we cannot deliver on time; tell us the deadline up front.
- The specific question or output you want. If you know which tier you want, name it. If you do not, describe what would help most — "we need a deposition mining report for an upcoming witness" or "we need a Berkheimer record for an appeal" — and we will recommend a tier.
Common inbound topics
"Can you take our matter?"
We confirm fit within one business day. We will tell you directly if the matter is outside our sweet spot (e.g., regulatory administrative proceedings, pure transactional review, M&A due diligence). The two standing reasons we may decline are: (a) a conflict with a current adverse engagement; and (b) a deadline that cannot be met at the necessary quality level.
"How much will this cost?"
We quote a price range at the matter-confirmation step, after you describe the matter. We do not publish per-document or per-hour rates because matter complexity drives cost more than document volume does. The Services page shows the typical price range for each tier.
"How fast can you turn this around?"
Foundation: 24–72 hours from document arrival. Strategic: 3–7 business days. Trial: 5–10 business days. Bespoke: per agreed statement of work. Rush handling is available on Foundation and Strategic at a surcharge.
"Can we see a sample deliverable?"
We do not distribute sample deliverables from real matters (every matter is confidential). We maintain a fictional sample Foundation deliverable based on a synthetic case that demonstrates the format, citation structure, RFC 3161 timestamped QC log, and founder review. We are happy to send the sample on request.
"What about discovery sanctions / Mata v. Avianca risk?"
Every SpotlightAICore deliverable is citation-verified before release. The Mata v. Avianca line of cases addresses attorneys filing AI-hallucinated case citations; the equivalent risk vector for vendor-produced analytical work is hallucinated document citations. Our citation-verification step closes that vector by confirming each citation exists in the source before the report ships. The Methodology page describes the verification process in detail.
"Are you a law firm?"
No. SpotlightAICore is a litigation-intelligence vendor. We produce analytical work product at the direction of counsel. We do not represent parties in litigation, give legal advice, or sign court filings. The deliverables are analytical input to your strategic judgment.
When you should not email us
- If you are opposing counsel in a SpotlightAICore matter or a Webnet Media matter. Communications between opposing parties should go through the formal channels in the litigation.
- If you are a vendor pitching us. We do not evaluate inbound vendor pitches via this contact channel. If you are pitching a related service or partnership, please use the partnerships address listed on the About page (forthcoming).
- If you are a journalist with questions about Webnet Media or its principals. Please reach out via the firm's general press address at Webnet Media (forthcoming) rather than the SpotlightAICore intake address.
